Chasing inner peace

Meditate and you'll find inner peace!
Accept yourself and you'll find inner peace!
Let go of the past and you'll find inner peace!
Let go of the fear and you'll find inner peace!
Stop the negative thoughts and you'll find inner peace!

Self Improvement
Personal Development
Acceptance of Life

....all these things keep popping up in my head, but I still don't feel that inner peace that should be somewhere inside of me. I'm still chasing it.
Inner peace should be a balance in life, where you remain calm in even tough situations and are happy with your personal achievements and your life as it is. I am happy with the things I've achieved, but the problem is that life keeps on challenging us and it will never stop, so instead of searching for peace, I've spent years on living step by step, one day, week or month at a time. When I plan too much, I get disappointed, even though I really like planning. That's a part of who I am. I like things to be as perfect as possible. That doesn't mean that I can't be spontaneous, I CAN! Especially when it comes to trips or shopping, but that's a whole other story ;)
I'm trying to brainstorm on how to do all the things I mentioned above and I'm even reading books and articles about how to do these things. Some lifestyle coaches claim that finding inner peace is easy, it's inside of you already, while others say that the road to the inner peace is long and you will never get there, until you learn how to accept youself and love yourself and people around you.

Well....... I'll keep you updated on my situation.
