Meeting new people

When people meet each other for the very first time, they try their best to be much nicer than they really are, trying to hide all the flaws and appear as interesting as possible, consciously or unconsciously trying to impress each other. Trying to be someone they're not!
When they get to know each other sooner or later they realize that the first impression of the person was wrong. They do actually have flaws, they are not really into the interests they've been telling about or they are just not as nice as they were on the first meeting.
But the first impression is important, especially if it was a good impression, then it develops into a perception about the other person, a perception which gets more and more integrated into a mind and becomes a strong believe. This means that a person in love will continue living and believing in the first impression he or she got of a certain person. A perception he or she had about a person and about the two of them together as a couple.

However when the truth is revealed and he or she slowly wakes up to a reality they still don't fully understand, because they missed all the warning signs or just been avoiding them for months or even years, living in denial, it feels like world is crushing down. Every memory of a relationship hurt, every love song or movie, every picture, every present, every note or message, but even though all of it is just painful, somehow people just can't get rid of all these stuff. They keep them. Because noone can erase all the memories, but it's a fact that in time they will become less important and eventually people will let go of them.

These thoughts make me think of the movie "Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind" with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. This movie is definitely worth watching, in fact I think I'll watch it again tonight. To all of you who felt like watching it...Enjoy!
