"What's your name?"
A little girl in a pink outfit stands right infront of me. I'm at the Egyptian embassy, waiting for my visa.
"I'm Nounou, I'm six and when I grow up I wanna be just like you!"
I look at her and I smile. Her dad apologizes for his daughter's behavior and is trying to make her stop bothering me, but she's not, in fact she makes me laugh.
Nounou explains that she hates her real name and asks me to play a game with her. As we play she tells her dad that she wants me to take her with me.
"Daddy, she can have me!"
"She can adopt me!"
When I leave the embassy I keep thinking of this funny little girl, Nounou. I wonder what she meant by saying: "I wanna be just like you..." :-)
