A late night conversation upon reading some of my friends’ work inspired me to write this post. I had the honor of reading a few pages of his thoughts that he expressed in his book.
Our conversation about life and choices people make led me to think, that wisdom comes along with time. You cannot know everything when you start the journey we call life, but in time knowledge will come if you educate yourself and open your heart by reaching out to people.
As my friend said: When a hurricane comes people turn into turtles, birds or lions, meaning: they hide, fly away or fight.
I know which one I am, I’ve always been a bird. I always try to escape, but especially when a hurricane comes. Another interesting thing that was said was that a human is made to rule, not being ruled. Many times we let our thoughts rule us, instead of ruling our thoughts. We let them take total control of us, turning them into fears and get paralyzed by them.
Maybe the bird could learn a little from the lion, listening to his stories, seeing his soul and maybe in time flying away won’t be necessary.
