It's time for a little talk.
When was the last time you confronted yourself about the quality of your life?
We all deserve to be happy, but some of us deserve it more than others. We all go through difficulties and dilemmas, but are they really gonna stop us? When we get to reflect on our lives, don't we all ask same question at one point or another: How did this happen to me?
What ever happened, happened, but the real question is why did I settle for less than I really deserve??
Why didn't I stop and let go of all the negative things, but continued accepting the unacceptable, whether it's a bad worksituation, abusive relationship or something completely different.
If we are aware of the source of our pain and misery, why don't we remove ourselves from it....?
It is time to take an active part in our lives and start thinking about the actual quality and start demanding a better treatment. Don't settle for less than you really deserve. Because if you don't think highly of yourself, who will?? When you settle for less, you make a passive choice, you are NOT taking the active part. Think about it.
I know some people would rather avoid confronting themselves about all of this, because they used to dream of so much more, but because of the circumstances they had to accept life as it was or even better: they discribe it as their fate. I'm not gonna argue on this one, because I've made some passive choices of my own, accepting the unacceptable behavior of others and doing things that led to self destruction and at the time I wasn't strong enough to break the circle. But looking back and reflecting really helps me to understand what I want. What is a good life and what is not and why the quality is so important to me now. Why I keep on confronting myself just to check whether my choices are active. I keep on learning and understanding that settling for less is not an option for me.
